Nexus mods downloading slow

When the 16GB Nexus 7 gets to about 3GB of storage space left, it begins to slow down. Filling up your Nexus 7’s storage space causes its write speed to slow down, slowing down the system. If it's too slow for you, just go back when there's likely to be less people using it. THIS IS really weird. Downloading via my browser manually is quicker @_@ Manual downloads come from a Mirror. NMM downloads are from their servers. I've discovered the more popular mods that I use are on Bethesda.net. They download stupid fast from there.
